The Grief Support Group: A structured series of ten weeks. This series provides education, activities and resources for those who are grieving the death of a loved one. These groups happen throughout the year. To get on the waitlist, please email programs@fourtideshospice.org
Individual Support: Provides one-to-one, individual support over the phone or in-person. For more information on volunteer visitors, please contact coordinator@fourtideshospice.org.
Grief Walking Group: The Group is open to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Participants share an outdoor active hour, engage in conversation and socialization, and acquire skills/tools to manage grief. This group meets at the Lower Seawalk parking lot at 10 am every Tuesday, weather permitting.
For Healthcare Providers: The hospice society works closely with general practitioners, acute care, community health, mental health and long-term care facilities to support and supplement medical services. Referrals are also accepted from community organizations such as the Community Resource Centre, the Salvation Army, and other local service agencies.
Caregiver Support Group: This confidential support group offers a space for caregivers to share experiences, information, and practical strategies while supporting one another throughout the caregiving journey. Facilitators guide the sessions, provide access to a small lending library, and share helpful resources and updates during meetings and by email. The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Powell River Library.
