Beyond Blame - A Healthy Relationship Group for Men

Provided by Nanaimo Family Life Association

This is a 16-hour program for men who are ready to take responsibility for their actions and work toward healthier, more respectful relationships.
This program is designed for individuals who recognize the need for change and are committed to learning new approaches to communication, managing emotions, and resolving conflicts with respect and understanding.

It is a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals are supported as they take meaningful steps toward healing for themselves, their relationships, and their future. For those ready to make a change and break free from old patterns, compassionate support is available to encourage growth and personal transformation.

The ideal participant is a man who is at risk, or has a history of abusing others, or wants to address power and abuse in relationships.

The goals of the program are:
  • To support men in building relationships founded on trust, equality, and respect, instead of violence and harm;
  • To always prioritize the safety and well-being of those affected by abuse;
  • To guide men in taking accountability for their actions and making lasting changes to end abusive behaviour;
  • To help men create healthier, more loving connections with their partners, children, and fellow men.
