Psychiatric outpatient services for children and adolescent experiencing serious mental health concerns.
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry team at the Wellness Centre provides a variety of outpatient psychiatric services based on the needs of each individual. While located in the Comox Valley Hospital, the program operates on an outpatient, triage-based system with varying wait times. The multidisciplinary team is available to provide the necessary psychiatric services, including for those who are hospital involved, or are likely to be hospital-invovled.
Services will vary depending on the needs of the client, but may include:

- Medication consultation with primary care provider
- Psychiatric consultations, assessments, and recommendations
- Care planning and coordination with other services
- Connects the client with related programs and services
- Program is for children and adolescents between 0 - 19 years of age
- Client must reside within the Comox Valley region, from Fanny Bay to Black Creek
- Individuals who are experiencing moderate to severe or complex mental health issues
- A referral letter is required from a family physician, nurse practitioner, or specialists such as pediatricians (providers, see below).

Hours of Operation are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
