A strengthening and exercise program for cancer patients.
The Next Steps Cancer strengthening Program is offered in 6- 8-week blocks.
It is specifically geared towards cancer survivors after acute treatment is complete as a transition into a community gym or exercise program. The classes are 90 minutes, offered weekly and include a Warmup, Cardio, Strength & Stretch, and Meditation components. Closing with a weekly education/ questions component.
This program is for patient currently undergoing treatment for cancer, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, lymphedema. The program serves residents of Nanaimo, Nanoose Bay, and Parksville.
A referral is not required. There is a cost of $25 per session.
