Provided by Nanaimo Disability Resource Centre (NDRC)
Provides parking permits to individuals with a disability.
Accessible Parking Permits allow individuals who have mobility challenges to park in designated parking spaces. Select BC medical practitioners can fill out the application form and they designate whether the disability is temporary or permanent.
How to Apply: Ask you medical practitioner to complete part 2 of the Parking Permit Application form. Once completed, the patient can bring the form to the NDRC office or mail it in to obtain their permit.
Eligibility:
- Applicant cannot walk any distance without the assistance of another person or a mobility aid OR
- Applicant cannot walk 100 metres without risk to health OR
- Applicant has a disability that affects mobility, and the ability to walk specifically
Cost: $35 for walk in or $39 for mail in.
