Provides early identification and treatment for residents aged 19+ of the Comox Valley area who are experiencing a first psychotic episode.
Provides early intervention and treatment for First Break Psychosis, excluding individuals who do not have a serious and persistent mental illness as the primary issue of concern.

Basic early psychosis services include:
- Complete assessment of symptoms and physical functioning
- Medication management
- Case manager
- Family support and education
- Client education
- Treatment of problems in living and other mental health issues
- Groups (in partnership with psychiatric day hospital)
- Cognitive assessments and rehabilitation
- Vocational rehab programs
- Medication side effect monitoring, healthy living programs
Eligibility:
- Individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness, including first episode psychosis
- Residents aged 19+ living in the Courtenay area, including Comox, Oyster River, and Fanny Bay
- Anyone can refer a patient to this service; intake services include self-referral.
